摘要
《夜莺与蔷薇》是英国著名作家王尔德的代表童话之一,讲述了夜莺为让年轻人得到爱情,不惜用自己的歌喉和生命换取红蔷薇的故事。借助朱丽娅·克里斯蒂娃的符号学理论,用"符号"和"象征"的概念,结合当时的社会环境来对《夜莺与蔷薇》加以阐释和分析,展现出故事情节和人物心理所体现出的符号界与象征界的冲突与对抗,以及作者通过此文表达出的对符号界的努力追求。
The Nightingale and the Rose,as one of the most outstanding fairy tales of Oscar Wilde,tells about a story of a nightingale who exchanges her singing and life for a red rose. In this essay, the concept of“semiotic”and“symbolic”in semiotics theory of Julia Kristeva will be used to analyze the plot and the characters in the story under the social background at that period. The conflict between the“semiotic”and“symbolic”as well as Wilde’s aspiration towards semiotic world will be displayed.
