大学文化,在主体层面上是大学教师与学生的文化,是在大学教师与学生共同学习、生活、探索、创新过程中逐步生成和养育的文化。大学文化的源头在于对知识的敬畏与追求及其对自身根本使命的坚持与守望。当下,有效培育我国大学文化,关键在于注重对大学形象的塑造,按照大学的本质要求办大学;注重校长形象的塑造,按照大学校长的本质要求当校长;注重教授形象的塑造,按照大学教授的本质要求当教授。

In an essence layer,a university culture belongs to the university teachers and students,which gradually are born and cultivated in the process of studying,living,eXploration and innovation for the teachers and students. The source of the university culture lies to the admiration and pursuit of the knowledge and the perseverance and watching of one’s own basic mission. Currently,to effective cultivate the university culture in China,it is crucial to pay attention to the portraying of the university image,running the university according to the essence of university;great attention should be put into the portraying of the image of the principal,in accordance with the requirements for the essence of university president;great attention should be paid to the portraying the professor’s image,in accordance with the requirements for the essence of professor at the university.
