摘要
对北京51所高校的大学英语学业考试调查发现,大学英语教学评估方面存在的主要问题包括:考查以期末考试为主,忽视产出技能的考查,且考试范围小、形式单一。因此,应扩大考试范围,增加考查形式和形成性评估比例,培养大学生的英语综合应用能力。
This study, through a questionnaire survey of 51 universities/institutes in Beijing, shows that College students' Eng- lish evaluation is mainly based on their test performance in their first two - year end - term exams. Moreover, these tests are content- specific and fixed in testing items, focusing less on assessing students' productive skills of speaking, writing and translation. Thus, some measures, such as increasing formative assessment, extending testing scope and multiplying differing forms of assessment, should be taken to develop College students ' ability to use English in an all - round way.
