"纸马"是一种与宗教相关的民间版画,其上的土地神和山神,呈现出"土地为文,山神为武"的形象特点,反映出二者在文化意象上的关联和神职信仰上的异同。其造型则显系借鉴中国古典戏剧中的人物装扮。土地﹑山神的戏剧舞台形象,体现于装扮和脚色设置等方面,并在戏曲艺术的发展流布过程中,成为"人物模型",为民间版画所凭依。
