摘要
在近年来的翻译研究领域,作为翻译活动主体的译者和译文的周边文本越来越受关注,而译文的序跋因其直接表达出译者的心声,对翻译研究,特别是翻译主体研究具有重要意义。本文通过研究《庄子》各个英译本的序跋,总结译者共同关注的核心问题,以期为《庄子》英译及其它典籍英译做一些基础性的研究,同时给翻译实践和译作评论提供有益的借鉴。
In the field of translation studies in recent years, more and more researchers have paid their attention to translators and prefaces and postscripts to translated works. These prefaces and postscripts convey the ideas and thoughts of translators, and thus they are of great importance to translation studies, especially studies on translators. This paper studies the prefaces and post- scripts to the translated versions of Zhuang Zi, and summarizes some core problems concern the translators. In this way, the pa- per intends to make some contributions to the translation of Zhuang Zi and other classical Chinese texts and to give some insights into translation practice as well as the evaluation of translators and their works.
