统一战线是中国共产党凝心聚力的重要法宝。在党的不同历史时期,统一战线有着不同的功能取向,这与党在特定时期的时代环境和根本任务是密切相关的。新的历史条件下,坚持和发展中国特色社会主义是统一战线的根本发展方向,也是统一战线科学化发展的前提和关键。推进统一战线科学化,激活统一战线的固有优势,需要关注统战工作的现实需要,认清统战工作的时代主题,结合统战工作的实际效应,并以此系统地探寻推进统战工作科学化的可行路径。

The United Front is an important magic weapon for the CPC to enhance cohesion. It played different roles in different historical stages of the CPC＇ s development, depending on the environment and basic tasks of the CPC in certain periods. Under the circumstances of the new era, persisting in and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics is the fundamental goal of the United Front, and also the condition for and key to scientific development of the United Front. In order to facilitate the scientific development and activate the inherent advantages of the United Front, we need to pay attention to the practical needs, identify the epochal theme and take into consideration the actual effects of the United Front work, to systematically explore a practical way.
