The meaning and process for establishing the chemical industry standard of diisopropyl succinate （DIPS） were expounded. The main content of the principle and standard of the standard preparation were introduced. The DIPS mass standard, sampling, test methods, inspection rules, and the logo, label, packing, transportation, storage were ruled in the standard. It is introduced that the DIPS quality index should be controlled, including appearance, purity, moisture content, free acid content in DIPS. The grade of product quality are divided into high-class product and qualified two grades, which was also introduced in the principle.
