The historical relationship between Chinese Communist Party and Marxism is a very compIex.Marxism had run into trouble,and how to get rid of the trouble is a question concerning how to correctly understand of the relationship between Marxist theory and the practical condition of China.Comparison of Mao Zedong's and Deng Xiaoping's ideas shows that Deng Xiaoping is Mao's successor in essence.However,Deng Xiaoping revolutionarily inherited the idea of Mao and changed a lot of thinking and practices in the Maoist period.Most dramatically,the idea and method of Deng Xiaoping's revolutionary inheritance come from Mao Zedong,the complexity of which can only be understood by backtracking.History has proved that the Chinese communists have accumulated a wealth of experience of combining Marxism with Chinese practice,from which people can learn in 21 st century to overcome possible Marxism predicament.
