My Superficial Comprehension of Xuan Tang's Super-form Ci Poem

形上词“就是用词体原型以再现形而上旨意的新词体”。落想、学养,是创造“形上词”的首要条件。饶选堂先生自幼追步具“理趣”之诗风,中年以后,更认为诗词不能只局限于人间,因而尝试创制形上词。形上词并不等同于玄学、理学词,而是“合声文、形文、情文三者而为一”,是对传统词境的开拓和超越。创制的目的,在于以积极的态度,陶冶人的性情,培养向上的精神。

Super-form Ci poem ' is a new style of ci poem which is based on the old fonn ofverses in form but expresses new thoughts more than the form.' Thoughts and learning are the most important in the creation of a super-form ci poem Mr. Rao Xuan Tang followed 'reasonable and interesting' style of poems at his young age. When he reached middle age, he held that poems and verses could not be confined to physical world and so he began to try the super-form. Super-form ci poem is different from ci poems of metaphysics and Neo-confucianism but 'a combination of words with sound, form and feeling'. It is the development and surpassing of the traditional ci poem. Thid new style of ci poem aims at molding the temperament of the people and cultivating a person's spirit of progress with a positive attitude.
