摘要 准确定位是专业建设的基础。本文首先从商务英语专业的发展情况阐述明确专业定位的必要性,接着提出了商务英语专业定位的依据《普通高等学校本科专业目录》、基点(培养目标)与原则。根据《普通高等学校本科专业目录》,作者认为:商务英语专业是商务和英语结合的复合型专业,但是,其基本定位是外国语言文学专业类下的英语类专业。该专业培养能熟练使用英语从事国际商务工作的国际化、复合型、应用型的商务英语专业人才。专业建设应遵循八项原则:英语为本原则、商务为纲原则、增值复合原则、中外兼顾原则、知行合一原则、个性差异原则、动态变化原则、发展定向原则。 Appropriate positioning is fundamental to a disciplinary program, so is it to Business English Program (BEP). This paper argues the significance of BEP position by stating the necessity of its progressive social significance followed by the "Disciplinary Catalogue", basicpoints (teaching goals) and other disciplinary principles as its supports. In accordance with the disciplinary catalogue the authors believe that BEP is a combination in nature of English and businesses as its key disciplinary elements. It, therefore, still goes to the Foreign Languages and Literatures as its upper discipline. The purpose of BEP is to educate glabal, interdisciplinary and applicable graduates for international business. For this reason BEP shall follow eight basic principles for its program design and construction, namely, English focused, business framed, synergy effective, Sino-foreign combined, both knowledge and skill counted, individualized, dynamic driven, and market oriented.
