论商务英语专业培养目标核心任务的实现

On How to Fulfi ll Core Tasks of Business English Program's Cultivation Goals

本文根据即将出台的商务英语专业培养目标与该专业面临的现实问题,提出跨文化交际能力,即,商务英语沟通能力和商务实践能力是商务英语专业培养目标的核心任务,深入研讨了该专业的课程设置、教学手段、教学方法、师资配备创新理念,认为实现商务英语培养目标的核心任务需要确立如下理念,即:(1)课程设置不必固定框架;(2)教学手段需要创新模式;(3)教师与学生合作的动态教学方法;(4)以英语教师转型为主的师资配备。阐述分析这四个理念有助于厘清商务英语界长期存在的一些模糊认识,推动实现商务英语专业培养目标的核心任务。

After analyzing some typical issues on how to fulfill the core tasks of Business English Program＇s cultivation goals, which are included in the soon-coming National Criterion of Teaching Quality for BA Program in Business English by the Ministry of Education, China, this paper proposes that cross-cultural communicative ability, also called ability to communicate in Business English, and business practice ability are two core tasks in Business English Program＇s cultivation goals. To fulfill the two core tasks, we should first set up such four creative ideas and concepts as： （1） it is not compulsory to have a fixed curriculum for all; （2） it is necessary to have new models of teaching means; （3） it is important to use dynamic teaching methods for teachers and students to cooperate; （4） it is rational to provide English-teacher- dominated faculty for this program. To explore these four ideas and concepts is very helpful for us to clear up some vague understandings in Business English education before we can manage to fulfill the two core tasks.
