Coping with the Challenges of Statistical Education in the Era of Big Data

大数据虽与统计学密切相关,但二者也在研究目的、数据处理对象和技术工具上有着诸多差异.大数据的兴起不仅在分析手段、工作重心和价值理念上给统计学带来了重大影响,而且也使担负着培养现代统计工作和数据分析之人才的统计教育面临严峻挑战.为适应大数据时代对数据处理人才更高综合素质的要求,统计学科教师与专业教育应在知识结构、教育内容、教育方式和人才培养模式等方面,主动进行与时俱进的充实、调整及变革.

Although the big data is closely related to statistics, but the two also has many differences in the research purposes, data processing object and technical tool. The rise of big data not only brings great influence to statistics on the analysis methods, the focus of the work and ideas of value, but also makes the statistical education face a severe challenge. In order to adapt to requirements of higher quality of data in the era of big data, statistics teachers and professional education should be active in the aspects of knowledge structure, education content, education mode and talent training mode.
