The conventions and management organizations of global shark resources

本文选译了2008年西班牙发布的《鲨鱼保护、渔业和国际贸易》中的部分章节,重点介绍了当前国际上有关鲨鱼资源管理的组织与公约。其中,管理组织分为国际性组织、区域性组织和区域性渔业组织三类;公约分为国际性和区域性两类公约。这些组织和公约均是由各国政府参与组成并制订,其对鲨鱼资源管理的约定具有法律强制性。通过详细了解全球鲨鱼资源管理的组织架构与管理目标,为我国今后的鲨鱼贸易和渔业管理工作提供参考。

Several selected chapters on the current international management organizations and conventions of shark resources in ＂Shark Protection, Fisheries and International Trade＂ , published by Spain in 2008, were translated in this paper. Management organizations consist of three types： international organizations, regional organizations and regional fisheries management organizations; the conventions include international and regional parts. Governments are engaged in establishing these organizations and conventions, thus the agreement on shark resources management is compulsory. Based on this information, it will facilitate fishery industry to understand more details about the structure and objectives of global shark resources management, and further to provide guidance on our shark trade and fishery management in the future.
