睡眠医学在台湾发展的比较晚。1987年,一些学者陆续到北美进一步学习睡眠疾病后返回台湾,开始意识到睡眠医学的重要性。台湾睡眠医学会的睡眠技师培训认证是不合法的。睡眠技师包含护士,心理学和医学专家。医疗技术人员需依法执业。
The sleep medicine develops relatively late in Taiwan. In 1987s, several scholars going to North America for the further study on sleep disorders returned to Taiwan one after another and became aware of the importance of the sleep medicine. The certification of trainings for sleep technologists is no legal, sleep technologists contains nurse, psychology and medical technologists. Medical technologists settle according to law.
