严复的经济思想主要有三个方面 :主张经济自由、反对国家干预 ,要求给中国资本主义以自由发展的权利 ;国家应大力发展公益事业 ;正确处理经济发展中农业和工商业的关系 ,生产、积累和消费之间的关系 ,资本和雇佣劳动的关系 ,利润率和利息率的关系。严复经济思想中的许多观点 。

s: This paper discusses three aspects of YAN Fu's economic thoughts: The first is that he proposed economic freedom, opposed national interefere and askded for free development rights of Chinese capitalism. The second is that the nation should develop public good causes. The third is that the relationship should bc disposed properly in economic development: agriculture, industry and business ; production ,accumulation and consumption; capital and wage labour; profit rate and interest rate. Some opinions of YAN Fu's economic thoughts are still meaning ful for economic construction today.
