Neglecting fame and interest is an eternal theme in the ancient Chinese literature history. It is an important aspect of anti - feudal culture and is reflected in literary works of generations. This paper compares the fame and interest concept of Cui Yingying and Zhang Junrui in West Chamber with that of Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu in A Dream of Red Mansions, analyzes the causes for the difference of fame and interest concept, explores the their role in anti - feudal culture and praises Wang Shipu and Cao Xueqin＇s advanced idea in pursuing individuality liberation and anti -feudalism.
