摘要
电子工程专业以培养具备电子技术和信息系统的基础知识,能从事各类电子设备和信息系统的研究、设计、制造、应用和开发的高等工程技术人才为目标,是一个电子和信息工程相结合的宽口径专业。文章以美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学和上海理工大学的电子工程专业为典型代表,从本科教学运行和管理、专业课程设置以及教学和评价方式等方面,分析了中美两国高等院校电子工程专业的异同点,提出了提高电子工程专业本科教学质量的建设性建议。
Electrical engineering program has wide caliber in both electronics and information engineer-ing. The mission of undergraduate program is to cultivate higher engineering technical personnel with basic knowledge of electrical technology and information system and capability of being engaged on technical assign-ments such as research,design,manufacturing,application and development in electronic equipment and information systems. In the paper,electrical engineering of the Pennsylvania State University( PSU)and U-niversity of Shanghai for Science and Technology( USST)are selected as typical examples. Similarities and differences of electrical engineering between two universities in United States and China are analyzed from as-pects of operation and management of undergraduate education,curriculum provision,teaching and evalua-tion. And the paper puts forward constructive suggestions to improve undergraduate teaching quality of electri-cal engineering.
