与道德哲学外在阐释和内部阐释区分相应,沃尔泽提出了外部批评和内部批评两种社会批判方式。由于对社群主义的倚重,沃尔泽极力强调社会批判的内部批评方式。内部批判需要批判距离的形成,然而,在沃尔泽那里,批判的距离如何形成是不清楚的,与其说内部批评需要批判距离的形成,毋宁说这一距离形成在于多元身份的形成。

Due to rely On communitariannism, Walzer philpsophy interpretation, Walzer proposed two kinds of social emphasized the internal social criticism strongly. Internal criti- eism need criticism＇ s distance, however, how to form critical distance is not clear, so, internal criticism need critisim＇ s distance rather than to form multinle identities.
