There are a variety of English versions for the names of the Chinese Islands （D/aoyu Dao）, some of which are correct, some understandable and still some others disputable or even totally wrong. Since Diaoyu Dao issue is quite solemn and sensitive, we have no reason not to keep those English versions in mind and choose the proper one （s） in writing or translation.
