模因论视角下“枪手”英译的多维度思考

C-E Translation of "qiangshou" from the Perspective of Mernetics

本文根据模因论对翻译的启示,在分析"枪手"和ringer模因进化差异的基础上,经过例证分析,分别从语境顺应,语言变化,委婉语的多种角度探讨"枪手"这一强势模因词的理想英译。通过论证阐明翻译新词不在于研究字面意义上的等值,而应该根据该词在特定语境中、语义上的模因嬗变以提供应对策略。

Based on implications on translation proposed by the theory of memetics, by analyzing and discussing the different evolution patterns of Chinese meme ＂qiangshou＂ and English meme ＂ringer＂, this paper aims to present ideal translations of ＂qiangshou＂ in different contexts from the perspectives of contextual adaptability theory, language variety and euphemism. It also demonstrates that finding the equivalence of neology should in- volve the context and memetic evolution.
