tarting from the definition of single pile area replacement ratio of composite foundation, the area replacement ra-tio of large-area regular pile arrangement, irregular pile arrangement and solid foundation are calculated with simple meth-od, which can be used for composite foundation design and the area replacement ratio calculation in examination of regis-tered geotechnical engineer and is more practical, simpler and more efficient than equivalent circle area conversion method in the“Technical Code for Ground Treatment of Buildings”.
