The Chronicle Biography of Zhou Lianggong

周亮工（公元1612~1672）,字元亮、伯安,号栎园、减斋等。河南祥符（今河南开封）籍,生长于南京。明崇祯庚辰（公元1640）进士,授山东潍县令,擢御史。入清,历任两淮盐法道、淮扬海防兵备道、福建按察使、福建左右布政使、督察院左副都御史、户部右侍郎、青州海防道、江南江安督粮道等。生平好读书,喜诗文,善书,能画,嗜印章,喜藏墨,富收藏,且精鉴赏。笃故旧,搜遗佚,奖人才,表章寒素如恐不及。对其生平、创作事迹的梳理,有助于其他相关研究的展开。

Zhou Lianggong （1612 -1672 ） is also named as Yuanliang ,Boan ,Liyuan ,Jianzhai .He hailed from Kaifeng in Henan province ,but grew up in Nanjing in Jiangsu province .He became a scholar in Chongzhen Geng Chen in the Ming Dynas-ty ,was then appointed the county magistrate of Weixian in Shandong province ,and then was promoted to censor .In the Qing Dynasty ,he was served as the salt road of liang huai ,the provincial judge of Fujian ,the ministry official ,etc .All his life ,he liked reading and poems and articles ,was good at writing and drawing ,also liked seal and ink ,he was not only rich in collection , but also very discriminating I.n addition ,he valued friendship ,gathered legacy and lost works ,rewarded talent mercilessly .The carding of his life and creation ,will help to other related studies .
