In the past decade ,there appeared a flood of dystopian novels catering to the youngsters in Britain and America, leading to a dystopian boom in both writing and consuming. The dystopian writing conveys＇ writer＇ s appeal to improve and rescue the society which is faced with a variety of dangers and crises, and young readers＇ acceptance of dystopian novels conveys their desire to know more about the society before entering the adult society. The dystopian boom in Britain and America is the result of collision between the appeal of writers and that of readers.
