孝经图是《孝经》的图解,附《孝经》而行,因此其一大艺术特色便是"左图右史"。作为对经典的阐释和图解,孝经图往往起到典范的作用。李公麟《孝经图》几乎被公认为年代最早的版本,其之后的孝经图大都是对其的"传移模写"。这也是孝经图的另一大艺术特色。
