试论白居易灾害诗的史学价值

Discussion on the Historical Value of Bai Juyi's Disaster Poetry

唐朝诗人白居易主张"文章合为时而著,歌诗合为事而作",故而其诗多为反映现实之作,其中不乏关于自然灾害的书写。这些灾害诗具有重大的史学价值:第一,史诗特性可证补史书,而史书亦可印证史诗,具有诗史互证的价值;第二,诗体的"赋化"特征显现了诗赋交互作用的文学发展规律,具有重要文学史价值。

Bai Juyi, the famous poet in Tang Dynasty, maintained that articles were written for the times and poems were created for things at that time. His poems mostly reflected the reality of his time, and some of his epics were about the natural disasters. These poems about natural disasters have significant historical val- ues. Firstly, the feature of epics can prove and supplement history books while history books can also corrobo- rate epics, so his poems have the value of corroborating each other between poems and history. Secondly, the descriptive character of prosody manifests literature development regulations of interaction between poetry and descriptive prose, possessing the important value of literary history.
