摘要
法律英语是一种特殊用途英语,然而其构词方法并未脱离普通英语词汇的内部形态结构,文章从借用、派生、复合、转换、缩略这五个方面分析了法律英语的构词特点。
Although legal English is a type of ESP （English for Special Purposes）, its word -formation is not different from the formation of ordinary English words. Analyzed here are the characteristics of legal English in terms of borrowing, derivation, compoun- ding, conversion and abbreviation.
