Value engineering, an effective management technology to promote economic efficiency, has been widely used in the construction, industry and other fields. This article innovatively applies the principle of value engineering to the field of farmland preservation, with the aim to improve the efficiency of farmland preservation and create huge economic, social and ecological benefits by analyzing the value of farmland multifunction preservation around the specific methods of value engineering.
