许渊冲“三美”论在唐诗英译中的再现 被引量:5

摘要 许渊冲先生是将中国古典诗歌翻译成英、法两种语言的顶级专家。在多年的翻译实践中,他总结出的"美化之艺术、创优似竞赛"翻译理论,可谓我国传统译论的重大突破。以许氏"三美"论为分析视角,结合《登鹳雀楼》、《送春辞》和《登高》等诸多实例,分别探讨"意美"、"音美"、"形美"在唐诗英译中的具体运用,可察见该理论对中国古诗英译的巨大指导作用。译者在译诗过程中只有遵循"三美"的标准,才能最终传达原诗的艺术魅力,中国文化也才能真正走向世界。 Professor XU Yuanchong has been the only outstanding expert of rendering Chinese classical poetry into English and French. Based on years' translation practice, Professor XU sums up his translation theory as" Art of beautification and crea- tion of the best as in rivalry", which is recognized as the breakthrough of traditional Chinese translation theories. Through taking the poems" On the Stork Tower" ," Farewell to Spring" and" On the Height" for examples, the paper attempts to discuss the appli- cation of" beauty in sense, beauty in sound, beauty in form" in the C-E translation of Tang poetry from the perspective of" Three Beauties'Theory, thereby to demonstrate its profound instructive effects on the C-E translation of Classical Chinese poetry. Mean- while, it is further stated in the paper that only by observing the standard of" Three Beauties" can the translators convey ultimately the artistic charm of the original poems as well as can Chinese culture truly prevail itself throughout the world.
