This paper describes the changes of the environmental requirements of the data centres drafted by ASHRAE, analyze how the temperature and humidity of the data centres affects the performance and efficiency of IT equipments ,and how the environmental conditions of the data centres affect the energy saving .gives some suggestions for the designer and constructor of the data centre that they should choose the proper style of air conditioner and set points of the environmental temperature and humidity ,according to the importance of the IT business, the style of the IT equipments and the goal of the energy saving and so on.
