摘要
美国研究型大学的社会评价体系较为完善,形成了以大学分类、大学认证和大学排名为代表的评价系统。综合分析卡内基分类中"博士点大学"的分类规则、美国大学联合会的入会规则和美国顶尖研究型大学的排名规则,对我国建立多样化的、独立的、动态竞争的、兼顾规模和质量的社会评价体系有一定的借鉴意义。
The social evaluation system of American Research Universities is well established. The system mainly consists of university classification, university accreditation and university ranking. The study analyses the methodology of Doctorate - granting Universities in Carnegie Classification, the AAU membership policy and the methodology of Top American Re- search University Ranking. The results provide constructive suggestions to build a diverse, independent and dynamic social evaluation system in China, which will help Chinese research universities to strike a balance between university size and ed- ucation quality.
