Research on the Spread of Tai Ping Guang Ji

宋初《太平广记》自成书以来,传播范围由朝廷贵族逐渐向广大士人阶级流传。在此期间,后人刊刻的各版本《太平广记》的内容也发生了很多变化,与原版《太平广记》存在诸多差异。对北宋以后各朝代的史料考证发现,《太平广记》的传播始于朝廷贵族,逐步流传到士人阶层,以致后人众多刊刻版本内容彼此存在差异,难成善本。

After its publication at the beginning of the Song Dynasty, Tai Ping Guang Ji spread from the nobility in the imperial court to the scholar class. In this period, there appeared many differences be- tween the versions edited later and the original one in the content of this book. That is the reason why there is not a reliable book of Tai Ping Guang Ji until nowadays.
