论希尼诗文中的“母亲”意象

On "Mother" in the Works of Seamus Heaney

"母亲"意象是谢默斯·希尼诗文中的重要元素和有机组成部分,然而在学界却鲜有评述。事实上,希尼对"母亲"以及"母亲"这一原型意象所代表的女性因素怀有深厚的情感。有鉴于此,论文试图结合希尼的诗文,从母亲的"遗产"、"儿子与情人"式的母子情结以及"生母"与"养母"之间的张力三个角度切入,从中解读出希尼诗文中"母亲"意象的深层意蕴:"母亲"不仅是给予希尼丰厚教养遗产的启蒙之师,亦是他眷恋仰慕的心理依靠,更象征着维系家国情怀的精神纽带。

The ＆quot;mother＆quot;imagery is an essential and integral element in Seamus Heaney＇s oeuvre, yet it receives scant attention among Heaney scholars .In point of fact , Heaney grows deep attachment to ＂mother＂ as an archetype and its relevant female elements .By dint of textual analysis , this paper aims to figure out the connotations of the ＂mother＂ imagery in Heaney＇s cannon .From the perspective of Mother ’ s＆quot;heritage＆quot;, the bond between ＂Son and Lover＂ and the tension between ＂birth mother＂ and ＂foster mother＂, this paper comes to a conclusion that the ＆quot;mother＆quot;imagery not only serves as a mentor who bequeaths rich literary and moral heritage to Heaney , but also an admiring sentimental magnet , and an e-motional bond which connects his family and motherland .
