Artistic conception, an indispensable part of Chinese classical aesthetics , is of great impor-tance to the exploration of the hidden meaning and sentimentality of Chinese poems .Therefore , how to convey such meaningful and significant beauty is crucial to the translation of Chinese poems .However , the translation of Chinese poems is developed with inherent shortages , when it involves the two totally dif-ferent languages , cultures as well as ways of thinking , which discourages batches of translators from for-warding such beauty with Chinese characteristics .Tough as it is, the resolutions may be acquired .On account of the ardent love to Chinese poems , a real treasure of Chinese culture , this article is designed to validate the magnitude of artistic conception for the translation of Chinese poems and for the spread of Chinese culture .Furthermore , some analysis and comments on the theories and masterpieces of Professor Xu Yuanchong , Lv Shuxiang and other scholars , will be made to contemplate how to overcome the above-mentioned defects .
