City safety is an important part of the maintenance and development of a city, and the design and application of new monitoring equipment is the indispensable key to maintain the security of a city. Based on the research of the existing new monitoring equipment at home and abroad,finding out the problems and shortcomings of the existing monitoring equipment in the safety management of the city .Also, analyzing the importance of developing and applying the new monitoring equipment about the safety management of city.At least,putting forwarding new ideas about new monitoring equipment design and application in the safety management of a city.
