语篇视域下《红楼梦》“被”字句英译研究

Study on C-E "Bei" Sentence Translation in A Dream of Red Mansion from the Perspective of Discourse

传统"被"字句英译研究大多停留在单句层面,归纳罗列出具体的翻译策略,忽略了语篇的作用。本文立足于《红楼梦》中"被"字句及杨宪益夫妇对"被"字句的具体英译策略,运用归纳、统计、描写等方法,描述了汉英语篇连贯与省略衔接差异对英译"被"字句的影响,以期为文学作品中"被"字句的英译提供视点。

Traditional studies on C-E ＂Bei＂ sentence translation mainly focus on the level sentence of by generalizing specific translation strategies while neglecting the function of discourse. Based on the ＂ Bei＂ sentences in A Dream of Red Mansion and its translation strategies in Yang＇s version, this paper illustrates the influence of cohesion and coherence on C-E ＂ Bei＂ sentence translation through the application of in- duction, statistic and descriptive methods, in the hope of providing viewpoints on C-E ＂ Bei＂ sentence translation in literature works.
