社会转型期的消费比较研究——读《中国城市的消费革命》

Consuming comparison research in social transferring time--on China urban consuming revolution

由戴慧思(Deborah Davis)教授主编的《中国都市消费革命》,为1997年耶鲁大学"当代中国城市的消费者与消费革命"研讨会论文集。书中的作者大多为西方社会学者,主要研究在中国由计划经济体制向市场经济体制转型的过程中,即1978年改革开放到九十年代中期这一时期消费的特殊意义和作用。本文综合全书内容,运用国家与社会的分析框架,对社会主义计划经济时期与市场经济时期的城市消费进行了比较研究。

The book （The Consumer Revolution in Urban China）edited by Deborah Davis, was the collected arti- cles of the symposium ＂Consumers and Consumer Revolu- tion in Urban China in the present age＂ at Yale Univer- sity in 1997. Most authors of this book were west socio- logical scholars, studying mainly the special meaning and effect of consuming from the reform and opening policy in 1978 to the 1990s during which China trans- formed from the planned economy system to the socialist market economy system. Although the themes of these au- thors were different from each other, but they had a common point which was referring to the Chinese society in Planned Economy Period. This paper summarized the full content and made a comparative study of urban con- suming in Planned Economy Period and Market Economy Pe- riod by using the analyzing frame of society and state.
