The social network of Faeebook has the advantages of timeliness, openness and interactiviy, which make an opportunity for English instructional mode reform. The construction of English instructional mode in Facebook environment involves four elements of context, cooperation, conversation and meaning construction. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are employed in designing and assessing such a mode, which is found to be effective in improving teaching pertinence, bringing students＇ potential and subjectivity into full play as well as arousing their enthusiasm in language learning.
