南宋诗人赵蕃生平与创作考论

An Investigation of the Lifetime and Creation of the Southern Song Poet Zhao Fan

赵蕃是江西诗派在南宋中后期的代表诗人,方回称为两宋诗坛"高年仕宦不达"的三大诗人(另两位为梅圣俞和陈师道)之一。他出身元祐世宦之家,少时师从清江学派刘清之,年垂知命,往朱熹处受学。他三十六岁任太和主簿,四十岁任辰州司理参军。其后即奉儒守家三十二年,朝廷屡征不起,节操清髙。赵蕃酷爱作诗,今存诗三千七百余首,在两宋诗人中不独数量众多,艺术成就也较高。

Zhao Fan is a representative poet of the Jiangxi School in the mid and later Southern Song Dynasty,who was named by Fang Hui as one of the three poets who ＂had not been successful in official career but enjoyed a long life＂（ the other two were Mei Shengyu and Chen Shidao）. He was born in a family of bureaucrat and studied with Liu Qingzhi of the Qingjiang School. When he was fifty,he became a disciple of the Neo-Confucian master Zhu Xi. He took the position of Taihe Chief Secretary at 36,and the Head of Judicial Office in Chenzhou City at 40. Afterward he had been stay at home for 32 years concentrated on the study of Confucianism. He rejected the calls form the Court for several times,persisted on his pure integrity. He was fond of poem writing,left behind more than 3700 poems,which is remarkable not only in terms of quantity but also in terms of artistry among all the poems in the Northern and Southern Song Dynasties.
