摘要
民航院校飞行技术专业的大学英语教学存在边缘化现象,它有其历史渊源和现实原因。但随着民航需求的变化,回归是大学英语未来发展的必然趋势。在这种背景下,切实可行的教学模式可以是大学英语和专业英语并行模式,也可以是独立的ESP模式,即通过建构科学合理的阶梯式学业英语课程体系,实现大学英语和专业英语的双重教学目标。后者面临的最关键问题在于合二为一的师资问题。
There exists a phenomenon of marginalization in the instruction of English for Gen- eral Purpose (EGP) in Flight Technique major of CAAC colleges and universities, which stems from historical and realistic factors and with the latest development in needs of civil aviation it seems inevitable that EGP will return to its previous position. Under this circumstance, the practical and feasible models of teaching lie either in the parallel mode where EGA and subject-based English assume equal positions or in an independent ESP mode where a rational and step-by-step system of academic Eng- lish courses is constructed to accomplish the EGP and ESP goals, the key problem of the latter of which is the lack in the teaching staff who have both the EGP and ESP qualities.
