The Question on Xunzi Interpretation

对七处《荀子》旧注提出质疑,试着从新的角度来补苴前人的说解:"柬理"即"简选于礼";"言辩而不辞"即"言语明晰而不乱";"恭敬繜绌"即"(行)恭敬趋法度及退让之事";"胠于沙"即"止于沙";"约者"即"俭约者";"先祖当贤"即"先主称为贤才";"学者非必为仕,而仕者必如学"即"学者非必仕,而仕者必学"。

In this paper, 7 old notes of Xunzi are questioned, which is expecting more creative ideas from ex- perts and scholars：＂jian li＂ is ＂ Choose the ceremony＂ ;＂ yah bian er bu ci＂ is ＂Speech clarity and stability＂ ;＂ gong jing zun chu＂ is＂ （doing） respect more testimonies and concession＂ ;＂ qu yu sha＂ is ＂end in the sand＂ ; ＂ yue zhe＂ is ＂thrifty person＂ ;＂ xian zu dang xian＂ is ＂the first Lord called talents＂ ; ＂xue zhe fei hi wei shi ,er shi zhe bi ru xue＂ is ＂Scholars do not need official, but an official should learn＂.
