摘要
对集美大学六个理工科专业的300名大二学生进行了问卷调查。研究内容包括:1.学生英语学习动机的差异情况;2.学生英语学习的主要动机因子及其分类。问卷调查数据输入SPSS13.0统计软件后,对数据进行了描述性统计分析,单因素方差分析和因子分析。结果表明,集美大学理工科学生的英语学习动机包含8个主要因子。
Based on the previous researches, a questionnaire consisted of two on 300 participants who were second-year students chosen from six Science and parts was used to conduct a research Engineering majors in Jimei Univer- sity. The first part is concerned with personal information, such as the participant's name, school number, sex and major. The second part of the questionnaire composed of 30 items measures English learning motivation. This study intended to achieve the following several purposes : 1. to understand the differences of English learning motivation of Science and Engineering major students, 2. to explore principal motivation factors of students" English learning and their classification. Descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA test and factor analyses in SPSS 13. 0 for Windows were employed to analyze the data of the questionnaire. The results showed that students majoring in science and engineering had 8 main motivation factors and they were classified into learning situation motivation, integrative mo- tivation, instrumental motivation and motivation characteristic of both integrative motivation and instrumental moti- vation. The results of this study provided some implications for ring in science and engineering in Jimei University. English teaching and learning for the students majo-ring in science and engineering in Jimei University.
