The Application of Medicated Porridge in Lao Lao Heng Yan to Geriatric Diseases

摘要 清代的《老老恒言》是一部学术水平和实用价值都很高的老年养生学专著,著者认为老者尤宜食粥、使五脏安和,但该著未将药粥明确分类用来指导老年疾病调理。为使药粥调理更加简便易行,可依据其疗效将其分为解表类、清热类、润下类等十五类,循证选方可有效缓解老年疾病的高发。 Lao Lao Heng Yan composed in Qing Dynasty is a book on regimen of agedness with high academic and practical value. The book argues that the elderly should have porridge to make their five viscera in normal operation. But the medicated porridge in the book is not clearly classified as guidance to the recuperation from geriatric diseases. To make recuperation by medicated porridge easy, it can be grouped into fifteen categories according to its efficacy, such as porridge for treating exterior syndromes, porridge for clearing away heat, por- ridge for relieving intestinal stagnation, and so on. Prescriptions of medicated porridge based on evidence should effectively alleviate the high incidence of age-related diseases.
