The concept of technology, forming technical characteristics and application status ot the liquid die lorgmg were introduced in detail. The present situation of the development of liquid forging forming technology and forming equipment both here and abroad were presented in the paper. Examples of the aluminum and composite parts forming liquid forg- ing parts were introduced, and the difficulty in forming liquid forging technology was pointed out, and also put forward the corresponding solutions. The trend of development for liquid forging technology trends shaping and forming equipment was discussed.
