“中衣”辨正

Identification and Correction of“Zhongyi”

古代文献中有一个"中衣",历来的研究者对其处理比较混乱:1.在线性序列中"缘"与"中衣"常常连用,有处理为断开的,有处理为不断开的;2.在"中衣"前面的"缘"字,有认为应该是"绿"字。据研究,我们发现"中衣"在古代礼制中有其特殊地位,"领""袖"的边缘颜色很受重视,常见"颜色+缘+领袖+中衣"或"颜色+领袖+缘+中衣"的用法,据此,我们得出结论,线性序列中的"缘"与"中衣"不应该断开;本字是"缘","绿"字因与"缘"字形相近,且在"中衣"之前而致误。

＂Zhong yi （中衣）＂ in ancient literature had been treated differently： 1. ＂yuan（缘）＂ and ＂zhong yi （中衣）＂ are often used together, and they are treated as connected or disconnected in the linear sequence; 2. Someone thinks lv（绿） instead of Yuan（缘） is in front of Zhangyi. Study shows that zhongyi is in the possession of important position in ancient ritual system. The color of collar and sleeves is popularized. Therefore the usage of sentence order is color＋ yuan＋ collar/sleeve＋Zhongyi or cdor＋ collar/sleeve＋ yuan＋ Zhongyi. Accordingly, conclusion is made that yuan and zhongyi should not be seperate. Because of the similar form of the character of lv（绿） and yuan（绿）, it leads to rnisunderstanding.
