《艾蒙的四个儿子》与中世纪东西方民间文学交流

Albigensian and the Literary Communication between the East and the West——A Discussion of French Medieval Epic,The Four sons of Aymon

本文通过对法国中世纪民间史诗《艾蒙的四个儿子》的主体情节内容与印度大史诗《摩诃婆罗多》的主干情节进行分析、比较,认为《艾蒙的四个儿子》与以《摩诃婆罗多》为代表的东方民间文学作品之间存在着紧密的联系。以此为出发点,本文在考察8至12世纪之间东西方文化、文学交流情况的基础上,进一步探讨了欧洲中世纪著名的宗教异端阿尔比派在东西方民间文学交流中所起到的作用,并分析了阿尔比之战给13至14世纪之间的东西方民间文学、文化交流带来的破坏性影响。希望后人能够以此为鉴,重视东西方文学之间的交流与共同发展。

This paper analyzes the main plots of the French medieval folk epic, the Four Sons of Ay- mon. Through the comparative study between this French epic and the Indian great epic Mahabharata, this paper makes a point that there is a close connection between the oriental works of folk literature and the French epic the Four Sons of Aymon. To support the point maintained above, this paper further ex- plores the cultural and literary connections between the East and the West in the 8--12th century. Using the Four Sons of Aymon as an example, this paper then discusses the role which the famous medieval Christian heretical sect “Albigensian” played in the cultural and literary communication history between the East and the West,as wall as the devastating impact of the Albigensian Crusade to the development of the European culture and literature in the 13-- 14th century. This paper also hopes that the present and fu- ture generations would make efforts to promote the communication between the Eastern and Western cul- ture and literature.
