An Analysis of Zhang Wentian's Diplomatic Thought

新中国成立初期,张闻天在从事我国外交工作期间,指出了世界的主要趋势是和平而不是战争;提出了和平共处五项原则不仅适用于社会制度不相同的国家,而且适用于社会制度相同的国家;对民族主义国家进行了深刻地分析;对于我国外交工作问题提出了独到的见解,所有这些丰富了新中国外交的理论宝库。

In the early period of new China, while Zhang Wentian worked for China＇s diplomatic work, he pointed out that the main trend in the world was peace rather than war. And he thought the five principles of peaceful co-existence were not only suitable for countries with the same social system but also for those with different social system. Furthermore, he made a profound analysis of the nationalist states and offered original ideas for China＇s diplomatic work. All of these have enriched the theoretical treasure of new China＇s diplomacy.
