摘要
专门用途英语(ESP)发展到今天已进入第五个阶段——"以学习为中心"的阶段。由于学习是一个动态过程,需要学习者不断与环境相协调,因此在进行课程设计时,首先考虑了学生的需求和社会的需求。通过问卷调查和访谈了解学生对宾馆英语课程的学习需求以及用人单位对员工的社会需求,并根据需求设计了教学目标、教学内容、教学方法以及评价方式。
English for Special Purposes (ESP)has entered its fifth period the period centered on learning. Since learning is a dynamic process, which needs learners to coordinate with the environment continuously,the needs of students and society are first taken into consideration when the course is designed. This paper aims to investigate the particular needs of students in hotel English learning and the social demands for employees defined by the employers so as to analyze and design teaching objectives, teaching contents, teaching methods and evaluation system on the basis of the questionnaire and the interviews.
