China-Arab Library and Information Science Professionals ConferenceOn April 29th, the first China-Arab Li- brary and Intbnnation Science Professionals Conference, which was sponsored by the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, was held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo. Officials from Media ＆ Communication Sector of the League of Arab States, representatives from national libraries from 10 Arab countries and a Chinese delegation of 9 library representatives, led by Chen Li, deputy director of the National Library of China, attended the conference, establishing an important platform to enhance bilateral exchanges in China-Arab library communities.
