Teaching Design for Higher Vocational General English Based on Typical Working Tasks

基于典型工作任务的高职公共英语教学设计充分运用"工作过程系统化"理论。其主要特色是以典型工作情境和工作过程为逻辑线索,设计出几个贯穿整个课程教学的大型综合项目,使课程教学内容系统化,并在课程教学内容上兼顾英语教学的"基本要求"和相关工作岗位的职业能力需要。课程按照"教学做一体化"的教学实施原则,采用案例引导、项目引领、任务驱动以及情景模拟等多种教学方法。论文以针对文秘方向学生的公共英语教学设计为例来详细说明基于典型工作任务的高职公共英语教学设计和实施过程。

Higher vocational general English teaching, which is based on typical working tasks, has been built on the theory of Working Process System. Its main feature is to design some comprehensive projects to systemize the course content by using the typical working scenarios and working processes as logical clues. The course content not only meet the Basic Requirements for English teaching but also highlight the related professional competences needed in particular working posts. In the course, various teaching methods have been adopted, such as case-based teaching, project-based approach, task-driven learning and scenario stimulation. The paper uses the general English course specific to secretary majors to illustrate such kind of teaching design based on typical working tasks and its implementation process.
