《尚书》文体对后世的影响与意义是多方面的,这主要表现在三个方面。一是"六体"的文章学地位。"六体"不但深刻影响了后世文体的生成,而且影响了后世散文创作和文章风格的形成。二是"记言"的史体价值。《尚书》主要汇集记言文献而成,开启了先秦史传文献的"记言"体式,且对纪传体、纪事本末体的生成产生了一定的影响。三是史传编纂学意义。《尚书》很好地处理了记注与撰述之间的关系,奠定了后世史学著述的轨范。
